ACU History

Zenith Education Foundation established ACU in July 2008 in Huntsville, Alabama with the mission to provide dynamic, high-quality on-line business education for an affordable tuition to motivated adult learners throughout the world.

The University moved it’s headquarters to California in 2009 and was approved to offer all of its current degree programs, as a non-accredited institution, in October 2011 by the Bureau for Private Post Secondary Education under the Private Postsecondary Education Act (CPPEA) of 2009, which became effective January 1, 2010. The University is now permanently located in Los Angeles, California.

The flexibility of the on-line delivery system makes it possible for students to balance active careers and their personal lives. Our goal is to help you successfully reach your academic and professional goals and equip you with the skills you need to make a difference in your workplace and in your community. Our broad portfolio of degree programs is designed to provide a quality education based on relevant and effective learning. Our academic leaders and and select faculty members collaborate to create each program based on specific objectives for student outcomes.

In March 2014 Dr. Dave Long, former Secretary of Education for the State of California, became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the University. Dr. Long continues to serve on the Advisory Board providing guidance and expertise as the President Emeritus.
